Upset? Count to 9!

I’ve never been a fan of counting to 10 when I am upset.  I’ve maintained it gives me ten more seconds to think of why I am upset.

Recently, a friend suggested counting to 9 . . .  Using the 9 fruits of the spirit. Now that’s an idea I can get behind.

When you feel your blood pressure rising, Count to 9 using the fruits of the spirit . . . love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. As you recite the words out loud (if you can), simultaneously look at your hands and count with your fingers.

When we remember why its more important to use healthy communication and boundaries than it is to win or be right, then we can grow into a powerful person of love!

Print this out and let us know how it goes.
