He's a Smiler
When you suddenly realize that you are putting all your eggs in one basket, that something has become your total crutch, that someone is your advisor, your love, your provision, and that same someone desperately loves you, and you've chosen to lean into them. You may feel it’s risky, incredibly vulnerable, it’s certainly not smart in this fallen world to put too much stock in one person or one thing but, you do it anyway. Then the realization, you are so far in that if He isn’t who He says He is, you are doomed.
Amazingly, I feel this way about God, my Papa. Sometimes these thoughts take my very breath away and sometimes I feel indescribable joy and can’t stop telling Him how much I love Him, sometimes I feel just like a little girl, curled up in her Papa’s lap with my face buried in His chest while He fights for me, and sometimes I find myself giggling with Him over the sound of the wind slipping around the leaves, or the wisps of clouds dancing by, or just because He is happy and I am happy.
He's a smiler.
How can any of these things be possible here on this earth? They are, He is! Today, LEAN into Him, Lean into Him . . . you can trust Him.
