Holy Moment: Do you know what makes My heart sing ?

Do you know what makes My heart sing ?. . . The Father bends low and whispers it in my spirit’s ear.

Hmmm, I straighten and wonder out loud, what makes Your heart sing Papa?

It must be beauty . . . Look at the world You’ve created . . . Mountains, crystal blue skies, the deep blue and green of the ocean? He smiles . . . Yes, I think to myself, He delights in them as He does in the intricacies of even the wonder of the human eye and the amazingness of it all. I ponder more . . . I can feel His excitement and I glance up to ask, “What Papa, what makes Your heart sing?”

I hear His breath take in as He anticipates saying the words, and He anticipates my reaction . . . He pauses (not for dramatic effect, but that’s what it causes). That you, My Little One, have chosen Me.

You could have chosen anger, offense, or even revenge, you could have chosen the world and it’s many enticements, you could have chosen a thousand things besides Me . . . But today, in the midst of many other shiny objects, You chose Me! And My heart sings and melts at the thought that you, My Child, you chose Me!

Tears appear in His eyes as He, quietly and loudly enough to silence the whole of the earth, whispers “Thank you!

“Thank you... Thank you for choosing Me . . . Yes, this is what makes My heart sing!”

Some times we consciously make this choice, we choose Him. But do we ever stop to realize how much He celebrates when we do? He is God and He made us to know and be known by Him. Because He loves us . . . If things are not good yet, they aren’t over . . . For He will do what He promised and He will bring good out of all things (Rom 8:28) So today, will You choose Him in the darkness? He’s longing for you to choose Him . . . There is nothing more powerful in trouncing the enemy than when one lifts their head from the bottom of the pit and chooses Him!

Zephaniah 3:17
