One year ago today, Timbelo launched this blog to help raise awareness about their Cause. If you don't know much about us yet, we are a strategic advisory firm created to help every single person to fulfill their God-given potential. We believe that every human being is full of vast potential just waiting to be unleashed, and Timbelo was created to help break open those floodgates. Unfortunately, there are those in our world who are being kept from all they could be in the most literal way; those trapped in human trafficking. We want to help put an end to that.  

Over the past year, we have taken a deep dive into the anti-human trafficking world and have learned more than we ever imagined. Before beginning this advocacy journey, we didn't even really know that human trafficking existed outside of sex trafficking. The devastating truth, however, is that trafficking goes so much deeper than that. It can be found in all industries, from sex work to domestic servitude, and it reaches every corner of the world. That very much includes the United States. We've also learned that labor trafficking not only exists but is equally as prevalent as sex trafficking. Labor trafficking is especially hard to learn about because every single one of us most likely benefits from it somehow.     

As we've learned, our desire to help end modern-day slavery has only grown. Putting a stop to others' exploitation will require a team effort, and Timbelo is ready to do our part.

Firstly, today is actually "Shine a Light on Slavery" Day, organized by the “END IT” Movement. Today, people worldwide bring awareness to this issue by writing a red "X" on their hands and sharing information about human trafficking.
