Undercover Creativity Saves 14-Year-Old Girl

It is often said that ending human trafficking is a "team effort" that requires many different gifts, talents, specialties, etc. Creativity in problem-solving, for example, is a valuable skill for anyone working in any direct rescue capacity. In this story, Jacob, a young Destiny Rescue agent located in the Dominican Republic, utilized some creativity and even some acting skills to safely bring a young girl home to her family.

The 14-year-old girl had been abducted by a known 34-year-old pedophile and was essentially being held for ransom. This girl's family received a video from the kidnapper, warning them not to go to the police to get their child back. Working with local law enforcement, Jacob learned that the kidnapper was also an amateur rap artist. Jacob set to work creating a persona as a budding artist himself and approached the abductor feigning interest in a collaboration between the two of them.
